Anna L. Jacoby' age 81, of Dusenberry Road, Savona, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012at her home with loved ones by her side. Born in Dundee,NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Leta (Fultz) Rumsey. She was predeceased in 2002 by her husband of 55 years,Ruben Jacoby. Anna was a very caring person ho loved to take care of everyone, helping those who could not take care of themselves. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, square dancing, doing crafts, baking, and crocheting. Anna was a strong-willed person who had great loss in hemkr life, losing four children and her husband. However, she received great joy from her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren, and her beloved pets. She is survived by her daughter:Linda Jean (Marvin) Bulkley of Lingle, WY; Thomas Steven Jacob of Savona; 13 grandchildren: Daniel (Michele) Stickler, Karen (Alan) Sherry, Kimmy (David) Jamison, Kathy Clark, Steve (Ashley) Jacob, Stephanie Lewis, David (Tara) Stickler, Ron Hyer Jr., Raymond Hyer, Roy Hyer,Rendell (Andrea) Hyer, Crystal (Nate) Wolkerstorfer, Cody Pierce; 30 great-grandchildren; 7 great, great-grandchildren; siblings: Tracy (JoAnne) Rumsey, Wanda (Gordon) VanHusen, Glen (Betty) Rumsey, Doris (Phil) Smith, Roger (Lottie) Rumsey, John (Susie) Rumsey; sons-in-law: Doug Pierce, RayPickering; and several nieces and nephews. in addition to her husband,Anna was predeceased by 4 daughters, Rebecca Stickler, Vicky King, Deborah Hyer-Pickering, and Robin Pierce, and by her brother, Gerald Rumsey. A funeral service was held for Anna at Carpenter's Funeral Home, LLC, 14 East Pulteney Street in Corning on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Chaplin Dan Slattery officiating. burial was immediately following at Seaman's Cemetery in Savona.
